Become come a member of the Québec International Coach Federation (QICF)
The FICQ is the only Professional Association that regroups all of the professional coaches in Québec. It is a provincial chapter of the International Coach Federation that represents over 14,000 coaches worldwide.
A coach is trained to listen, observe and personalize their approach in alignment with the individual client needs. The objective of a coach is to provide a support in the development of the competencies, resources and creativity that each individual already possesses.
To become a Professional Coach, we recommend the following two steps:
1. Find a Professional Coach
To clearly understand the Coach-Client relationship, start your journey as a client. This step will provide you with precious information on the coaching relationship and will support you in the development of this type of relationship for your potential clients.

2. Training Program
We strongly recommend you follow a training program that is certified by the ICF before starting your coaching practice. The following training programs in Quebec are accredited by the ICF:

To become a member of the QICF, you must first become a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
The ICF offers two ways to register to become a member of the Federation :
- In English: You complete the online registration application on their website: www.coachfederation.org
IMPORTANT: Please remember to select CHAPTER: Federation internationale des coachs du Québec from the drop down menu.
As a member, you will benefit from all of the advantages offered by ICF. You may view these advantages on the same site..
Or - In French : You can download the application form to join from this link: Demande d’adhésion ». You can fax the completed application form to 514-425-8882.
Within 3 to 5 days you will receive ICF’s notice of acceptance along with instructions giving you access to the members only section on their Web site.

To register with the Quebec International Coach Federation (FICQ):
Once your ICF application is accepted, you will receive a welcome letter from the QICF via email. If you do not receive this letter within 7 days following your registration, please contact the member service or by phone at 514-425-8882.
In this letter, you will receive instructions for the payment of your membership with QICF to be settled using PayPal. This secured site accepts major credit cards.
Your registration is accepted once payment of your membership has been completed.
