Coaching is one of the fastest growing industries in North America. In Canada alone it is estimated that over 3000 professionally trained coaches are helping individuals and organizations develop clear life and business strategies. In recognition of the contribution Canadian Coaches are making to this phenomenon, CoachesCanada is pleased to announce it will be awarding the 1st annual Canadian Coach of the Year at the International Coaching Federation Conference in San Jose, California, in November 2005.

In its inaugural year, the Canadian Coach of the Year award is open to any Canadian- based Coach who meets the following criteria:

• Is a professional coach, accredited by the International Coach Federation OR be certified by a training school approved by the International Coach Federation prior to July 31, 2005;
• Is a member of the International Coach Federation;
• Working full-time and based in Canada for the past 12 months.

Coaches will be judged on their coaching practice, unique contributions to the coaching profession, charitable contributions to their community at large, and personal achievements.

The winner will receive:

1. Recognition and Media Coverage as the Premier Coach in Canada.
2. One-year membership on the Coaches Canada website.
3. A subscription to Choice Magazine. The magazine of Choice for Coaches.

Eligible coaches interested in applying for the award can download an application at www.coachescanada.com. Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2005.
